A lot of us love Christmas, but if we’re honest, the angel’s words about “good news of great joy” don’t always land the way they used to. We’re busy, tired, and carrying our own silent battles. So what does the birth of Jesus actually have to do with the job we’re still waiting on, the diagnosis we’re dreading, or the empty chair at the table this year? In this message, we look at the birth of the Messiah - how Israel spent thousands of years waiting for God to keep His promise. We’ll see how Jesus’ first coming is God’s receipt that He is faithful—and how that gives us real hope as we wait for His second coming and the restoration of all things.
